Per Baseball America, the Dodgers have the No. 3 farm system in baseball this year, a huge jump from their No. 9 ranking in 2024. Roki Sasaki, who is technically a prospect, is probably the biggest contributor to this leap, but Dalton Rushing continuing to impress in the minors and Alex Freeland surging up the rankings have also contributed to making the Dodgers' pipeline one of the most fearsome in baseball.

A few of these prospects will be featured on the big stage during MLB's Spring Breakout exhibition, which stages 15 matchups with top prospects from around the league. This year, Dodgers prospects will take on Cubs prospects — mirroring the Tokyo Series — on March 13 at 6:05 PM PST at Camelback Ranch.

Sasaki and Rushing are both in major league camp and won't participate in the showcase, but there are a host of other interesting names fans should keep an eye on, including No. 3 prospect Josue De Paula, the two pieces from the Michael Busch trade, Jackson Ferris (No. 4) and Zyhir Hope (No. 6), and Kellon Lindsey, LA's first-round draft pick last year.

Top prospects Josue De Paula, Jackson Ferris, Zyhir Hope headline Dodgers' Spring Breakout roster

De Paula, Ferris, and Hope's stars have steadily been on the rise, with De Paula drawing frequent comparisons to another former top Dodgers prospect in Yordan Álvarez. Busch has turned into a very serviceable corner infielder for the Cubs and always seems to get a little extra oomph in his bat any time he sees his former team, but Ferris and Hope's progression through the minors hasn't given fans much reason to miss Busch.

Hope broke out during the Arizona Fall League last year, when he hit five homers, including a 470-foot bomb in his AFL debut. Ferris ended 2024 in Double-A with a 2.54 ERA and 26 strikeouts over 28 1/3 innings, and he was named the Dodgers' Minor League Pitcher of the Year for his efforts. He pitched in the Spring Breakout game last year, when he hurled two innings and struck out three, while one unearned run scored.

Also on the Dodgers' Spring Breakout roster are No. 7 prospect Emil Morales (SS), No. 9 Eduardo Quintero (OF), and a handful of others who still land in the Dodgers' top 30.

Eight Spring Breakout games will be broadcast live on MLB Network, but all will be available to stream on MLB.com.
