The Los Angeles Dodgers received their 2024 World Series rings in a pregame ceremony Friday at Dodger Stadium, and the hardware did not disappoint.
The rings, designed by Jostens, are each crafted in 14-karat yellow gold and feature more than 300 diamonds and 120 sapphires. No detail was spared, from the 34 blue stones honoring late Dodgers legend Fernando Valenzuela to the pieces of an actual base used during the World Series.
Indeed, there is nothing subtle about these rings – and that includes the Dodgers' diamond-encrusted dig at their 2024 World Series opponents.
Dodgers take one final parting shot at Yankees with World Series ring design

The New York Yankees' epic defensive meltdown in Game 5 of the 2024 World Series was already part of the Dodgers' championship lore; now, it's only fitting that it has been immortalized in jewelry form.
The Dodgers' World Series rings include five round-cut diamonds at the bottom, representing the five-run deficit they erased in their series-clinching Game 5 victory over the Yankees. Giving credit where it's due to the Dodgers for their resilience in the 7-6 comeback win, the bigger storyline was the Yankees' defensive implosion that allowed it to happen.
Aaron Judge flubbed a routine play in the outfield. Anthony Volpe short-hopped a throw that allowed the Dodgers to load the bases. Gerrit Cole failed to cover first base in a complete communication breakdown with Anthony Rizzo. Such was the beginning of the end of New York's quest to become the first team in MLB history to overcome a 3-0 series deficit to win the World Series. They promptly lost in five games in what was one of the most embarrassing losses in playoff history.
The rest, as they say, is history. Freddie Freeman proceeded to hit a two-run single to center field, and Teoscar Hernández followed with a game-tying two-run double to left-center. Later in the game, Austin Wells was called for catcher's interference and Luke Weaver balked on the mound, capping off a disastrous performance for the Yankees that featured nearly every defensive miscue possible.
Now, that blown five-run lead will live rent-free in the heads of Yankees fans – and on the Dodgers' ring fingers – forever.
