When it's not Kyle Tucker drama or Dalton Rushing drama, it's the drama surrounding injuries. Every team goes through various injuries during the season, but the one suffered by Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Kendall George earlier this season took on a life of it's own, and now has come full circle.

About a month ago, George suffered an injury while trying to avoid the bat dog on his way back to the dugout. Given the circumstances of the injury, it brought about a larger conversation; one that eventually led to Double-A Tulsa suspended the bat dog program.

Setting aside the silliness of the dog taking the blame for something George could have easily avoided, his injury was a scary thought for the Dodgers. Whether he's destined to be a trade candidate or a surprise call-up in September to give LA extra speed on the bench, it feels likely that the 21-year-old was going to have some impact, directly or indirectly, on the Dodgers' 2026 season.

Kendall George gets deserved troll job as Dodgers' prospect returns

Fortunately, George's injury wasn't as bad as it initially seemed and he is back playing games. While on a rehab assignment with Class-A Ontario, George made his first at-bat since the injury on Wednesday night, and was the subject of a brilliant troll job. The opposing team, who's affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks, played barking dog noises over the loud speaker.

Now that we know that George is healthy, and back on the field, it's okay to laugh at this moment. It's truly an excellent troll job, and honestly, the Dodgers' top prospect is kind of deserving of the treatment.

The only quip that we have is perhaps the troll should have gone harder. Dogs barking is obvious, and appreciated, but this felt like the right moment to bust out some Baha Men. Imagine George stepping to the plate, and all of a sudden, he hears that catchy jingle, "Who let the dogs out?!". That would have been truly a chef's kiss moment.

Nonetheless, George is healthy, we are laughing, and all is right in the world. Except for the very good boy who lost his job because the young outfielder was oddly sprinting back to the clubhouse, but we like to think he's off somewhere working with people who actually appreciate his work.
