Say what you want, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are always interesting. Despite dealing with a number of injuries on the pitching side of things, the Dodgers still find themselves 13 games over .500 and among the best teams in baseball once again. This road series against the Cardinals is yet another opportunity to assert their dominance and solidify their position atop the NL West. However, the weather in the St. Louis area had other plans.
The Dodgers' patchwork pitching was set to go to work with Justin Wrobleski on the mound taking on Sonny Gray who is looking pretty mortal these days. Wrobleski has been pressed into service this season with all of these injuries to decidedly mixed results thus far. Sadly, we will have to wait to see if he can get on track against the Cardinals as we are in another rain delay.
**UPDATE: 5:42 PM PST**
Unlike some of the rain delays that the Dodgers have had to deal with this year, this one seems to be a pretty tame one. Assuming the weather cooperates as expected (don't blame us if it doesn't), this game will start at 6:30 PM PST.
Weather permitting, tonight's game is estimated to begin at 8:30 pm CT. https://t.co/YOz83ddwJr

Dodgers vs. Cardinals - 6/6: When will the game start?
This is a tough one as there is a lot of rain in the area, but it is at least slowly moving off to the east. This game will probably happen tonight, but there is no guarantee as this system seems to keep growing as soon as it looks like it about to leave the St. Louis metro area. Sit tight for the moment as this delay could be quick or a couple hours depending on the weather gods. A fair guess at this point is a delay of around an hour or so.
We will keep this post updated as more information is released about a potential start time or if there are any changes to the forecast of note during the delay. Once the rain stops, it may take a bit to get the field dry enough to play safely, but the odds this game gets banged remain pretty low.
