The Los Angeles Dodgers are one win away from their eighth World Championship. The Dodgers marched into Yankee Stadium for Game 3 on Monday night and quieted the capacity crowd within minutes. Fat Joe's obnoxious performance prior to the first pitch definitely sucked some of the air out of stadium, and Freddie Freeman's two-run bomb in the top of the first inning brought the Yankees' fans to a stunned silenced.

But it was Walker Buehler's scoreless outing that kept the Yankees off the board. The Dodgers' starter dug in for five innings and allowed just two hits while keeping New York's lineup off balance throughout the night. Buehler gave way to the bullpen in the sixth, and LA's four-run edge heading into the ninth was enough to prevent a late-game rally with the Dodgers winning by a final score of 4-2.

That said, Buehler did get into a bit of trouble in the fourth inning. After Aaron Judge continued his World Series futility with a fly out to left field, Giancarlo Stanton doubled. Two batters later, Yankees' shortstop Anthony Volpe laced a base hit into left and Staton tried to score from second. Fortunately for the Dodgers, Teoscar Hernandez uncorked a laser to home plate and the Yankees' slugger was out. Hernandez's throw kept New York off the scoreboard and put an end to an impending New York rally.

In the postgame press conference, Buehler was asked about that crucial play and LA's outfield defense in general. "Teo threw Stanton out at home," Buehler said. "And I got in the dugout and said, 'They don't know about you in New York.' You know, you'd think they'd remember what he did when we played here in the regular season. Pretty cool for him to show off the other side of the ball."

In fact, the Yankees probably remember quite clearly what Hernandez did to them during the regular season. It's hard to forget a player that goes 6-for-12 in three games with three home runs and nine RBI. Hernandez was a one-man wrecking crew against the Yankees during the regular season, and is 4-for-12 with a homer and two RBI in the World Series.

Everything is working in the Dodgers' favor heading into Game 4, but LA can't become overconfident. This is dangerous Yankees' offense (despite what they've done through the first three game), and the Dodgers must continue to take this series one game at a time.
