Even though the Dodgers weren't massive players at the trade deadline this year, a flurry of moves happened around them that involved a number of players who used to don Dodger blue (and one who's already put the uniform back on).
Every former Dodgers player who was traded at the 2025 deadline
Shelby Miller (Diamondbacks to Brewers)
Miller seems to be making bounce-back years his thing, because after the Dodgers fixed him up in 2023, when he pitched 42 innings for a 1.71 ERA, he went to the Tigers and pitched 55 2/3 for a 4.53 ERA. He got back to winning form with the Diamondbacks this year (sub-2.00 ERA in 36 1/3 innings) and was traded to surging Brewers along with Jordan Montgomery for a player to be named later.
Brock Stewart (Twins to Dodgers)
Stewart, of course, came back to the Dodgers at the deadline in exchange forJames Outman. Stewart was selected by the Dodgers in the sixth round of 2014 draft and never found a stride in his first three and a half major league seasons in LA. He posted a 2.38 ERA in Minnesota before the Twins embarked on a fire sale, but his second outing back in LA on Tuesday went poorly; he gave up a game-winning single to the Cardinals and was tagged with the loss.
Danny Coulombe (Twins to Rangers)
Coulombe was taken by the Dodgers in the 25th round of the 2008 draft, but he didn't get to the majors until 2014 and then put up a 6.39 ERA in 12 2/3 innings across two seasons. He was traded to the Athletics in exchange for cash at the 2015. Since 2022, he's been one of the better relievers in the league (when he's healthy), and left the Twins with a 1.16 ERA.
Caleb Ferguson (Pirates to Mariners)
Ferguson is another product of the Dodgers' farm system, taken in the now-nonexistent 38th round of the 2014 draft. He was a fixture of the Dodgers' bullpen from 2018 through 2023 (except for 2021, when he missed the year after Tommy John surgery) before being traded to the Yankees ahead of the 2024 season. He landed with the Pirates on a one-year deal for 2025 and put up a 3.74 ERA in Pittsburgh.
Luis García (Nationals to Angels)
García was a carousel reliever for the Dodgers just this season, but he was DFA'ed on June 29 and cleared waivers on July 4 before signing a major league contract with the Nationals. He left LA with a 5.27 ERA but seemed to be finding a stride in Washington — 10 innings, 0.90 ERA. The Angels haven't gotten so lucky since they acquired him; he gave up a run in an Anaheim loss on Aug. 1.
Amed Rosario (Nationals to Yankees)
It's a little surprising that Rosario didn't end up a Dodger again this year, if only for the fact that LA traded for him at two consecutive deadlines in 2023 and 2024. Last year, they dealt minor league pitcher Michael Flynn to the Rays in exchange for Rosario, but dumped him after five games and saw him claimed off of waivers by the Reds. He signed a $2 million major league deal with the Nationals for 2025 before he was dealt to the Yankees, where he's collected a double and an RBI since the deadline.
