And he's right.

Five years after his tragic death, Kobe Bryant remains a titan and figurehead in Los Angeles sports. This year, the Dodgers paid tribute to him with a bobblehead day on Aug. 8, when his daughter Bianka threw out the first pitch to Freddie Freeman. Last year, they gave out a No. 8 Dodgers jersey.

They also invoked Bryant's "job's not finished" from the 2009 NBA finals (which the Lakers went on to win, with Bryant as MVP) during their World Series run last year, which was given a stamp of approval by Vanessa Bryant, who posted "Job's finished" on Instagram after they brought the championship home. Jack Flaherty wore a "job's finished" shirt during the Dodgers' homecoming parade in LA.

Mookie Betts, when asked about the Dodgers' 3-0 lead in the NLCS over the Brewers, ran it back after Game 3 as a reminder that there's still a long road ahead. He said, "I have zero emotions. We're up, but like Kobe said — job's not done."

The Dodgers took Game 3 at home in Dodger Stadium thanks to six one-run innings from Tyler Glasnow, the bullpen (shockingly) doing its job, and offensive contributions that came from all over the lineup.

Shohei Ohtani will be on the bump for Game 4 on Friday evening to try to lock this one up with a series sweep, but so far Dodgers pitching has absolutely stifled the Brewers' offense, who haven't scored more than a single run in an NLCS game this year, despite going 6-0 against LA in the regular season.

But Betts is right, and the Dodgers can't get ahead of themselves even if they manage to sweep the Brewers. LA is in a prime position to take the NLCS, but they'll still be staring down the barrel of another best-of-seven against either the Blue Jays or Mariners, who are currently locked in a 2-2 tie on the other side of the bracket and have plenty to play for themselves.
