The Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers are in the midst of a potential World Series preview this weekend.

Los Angeles drew first blood, beating the Rangers in an 11-5 offensive shootout. The two teams will tango again on Saturday afternoon with Bobby Miller (4.25 ERA) set to take on Dane Dunning (2.82 ERA).

Let's dive into the odds for this matchup and then I'll give you my best bet for the game.

Dodgers vs. Rangers odds, run line, and total

Dodgers vs. Rangers prediction and pick

Dane Dunning has been one of the biggest surprises in MLB this season. He enters todays game with an 8-2 record and a 2.82 ERA.

With that being said, I think he's due for some regression and I'm willing to bet the Dodgers get to him in today's matchup. Dunning's FIP (Field Independent Pitching) is 3.90, significantly higher than his ERA. His 1.111 WHIP also doesn't seem to matchup with an ERA of 2.82.

Now is as good a time as ever for him to regress to where his ERA probably should be. The Dodgers are third in the Majors in OPS over the last 30 days at .836.

Meanwhile, Bobby Miller is in some sense, in an opposite situation to Dunning. He has a 4.25 ERA but a 3.59 FIP, indicating we could see some positive regression from him in the coming weeks.

I'll back the Dodgers as road favorites to get the job done tonight.
