On Wednesday night, the Dodgers will look to avenge a rare Dustin May off day. Who better to do so than the most accomplished left-hander in modern big-league history?
So far, so meh for the Dodgers at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The team won the opener in a runaway, with hometown boy James Outman clocking yet another triple and watching in awe as Max Muncy's offensive explosion finally came all at once.
It was a tale of two games on Tuesday, though, as old friend (new foe) Alex Wood and the Giants bullpen shut the Dodgers down entirely over the course of nine dull innings.
Now, ahead of a well-earned off day, the Dodgers will try one more time to grab the upper hand in the early-season rivalry matchup, and will look to prove that it's only the Diamondbacks who kind of have their number in the early going.

Dodgers Pitching Probables for Wednesday, April 12 vs Giants
The Dodgers' pitching probables for Wednesday night include Clayton Kershaw on the bump, who sports a 1-1 record with a 3.75 ERA and 13 Ks to begin the season.
Instead of frustratingly trying to overcome the power of former Dodger Scott Alexander again, LA will go up against veteran workhorse Alex Cobb this time, who's stuff has ticked up since joining the Giants.
Following the conclusion of this game, the Dodgers will head home to take on the Chicago Cubs in a weekend series. They'll feel far better about doing so if they can escape with a Kershaw-led win.
