The Los Angeles Dodgers struck first in the weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, winning 5-2, and now get a familiar pitching matchup on Friday night.

The two teams had this exact pitching matchup last week, Clayton Kershaw starting for L.A. and Madison Bumgarner starting for Arizona, and it was one-way traffic as the Dodgers rolled to a 10-1 win.

Now, they meet again, but this time in Arizona. Will that change the outcome?

Here are the odds:

Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks prediction and pick

The Dodgers crushed Bumgarner last time out, posting five runs in four innings that featured five hits and four walks. I expect a similar fate for the lefty against this Dodgers lineup that is starting to find its ceiling as the season goes on.

Los Angeles scored five runs in its past two games and 13 the game before against the Rockies. The offense has high powered hitters that crush lefties like Mookie Betts and are getting production from further down the lineup as well from the likes of Trayce Thompson and rookie Jake Outman, who is hitting .353 in seven games for the Dodgers.

Bumgarner has struggled to pitch long into games, and I don't envision the D-Backs bullpen will hold up, the unit has a 4.50 ERA so far this season, the 11th worst in the big leagues.

It's a steep price to play the Dodgers on Friday, so I'd rather target the offense to produce and cash our bet.
