The Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes are officially over and as many people expected, he is a Los Angeles Dodger! Now that the Dodgers have added arguably the best player in baseball, their World Series odds have skyrockted.

They already have favorable odds to win the World Series before the signing, but now they stand alone atop the oddsboard.

2024 World Series Odds

The Dodgers' odds to win the 2024 World Series were set at +700 before the Ohtani signing, second behind only the Atlanta Braves. After the news dropped, the Dodgers quickly moved to +550 and are now the lone World Series favorites.

+550 odds means they have an implied probability of 15.38% of winning the World Series. A $100 wager on them do to exactly that would win you a profit of $550 if they're able to achieve the feat.

The Dodgers are hoping Ohtani is enough to get them over the hump. After winning 100 games last season, they were eliminated in the NLDS, getting swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks in a best-of-five series.

It was the second-straight season the Dodgers were eliminated in the NLDS and they have failed to reach the World Series since winning it in 2020.

If you think Ohtani will be the difference-maker for them this season, then I'd recommend placing your bet on them to win the World Series sooner rather than later.

If you want to bet on them to get the job done, you should do so at FanDuel Sportsbook. Not only do they have the best odds available on the Dodgers, but for a limited time, you'll receive $150 in bonus bets if you win your first $5 bet after signing up using the link below!
