The stars were out at the 81st Golden Globes on Sunday, including the Dodgers' very own Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, both of whom were spotted at an absolutely prime table amongst all of the Hollywood stars. They were parked right next to the casts of The Bear and The Crown, Emma Stone, Selena Gomez, and, most importantly, Taylor Swift.
Freeman and Betts had to deal with a lot that evening — well, mostly a terrible opening monologue from host Jo Koy — but a highlight that quickly turned into a viral moment for Freeman featured none other than Swift herself. The Dodgers' proximity to Swift was revealed in a snapshot of Freeman looking rather confused, caught in the background of a picture of Swift and comedian Bill Hader.
Freeman's wife Chelsea quickly picked up on the moment, posting the photo on her Instagram story with the caption, "Of course Freddie makes the Taylor pic and I'm blocked."

The Betts and the Freemans were also caught in a wider snapshot of the crowd that featured Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Christopher Nolan, John Krasinski, and so on and so forth, looking understandably unamused as Koy tried to command the room.
Betts also had a very Mookie-esque answer to the question of what he was wearing to the ceremony: "I'm wearing confidence."
Evidently, the Dodgers' insane spending this offseason extends to buying their stars a table at high-profile award shows. It wasn't even at the back of the room! They were right behind Florence Pugh!
The Dodgers have never exactly been a low-profile team, but their star is only ascending after the successes of the last few months. This team is having a good time, and more power to them for it. Safe to say we can book Freeman's 2024 walkup song as Swift's "Karma"? If Chelsea has any say in the matter, it's a done deal.
