Dodgers fans had the opportunity to quickly erase Saturday's 10-inning road loss to the Tigers from their minds after they handed out five runs in the 9th, falling 11-9.

Down South, the Dodgers sent two of their prospects to the MLB Futures Game in Arlington, Texas and, well ... these results were brighter than the box score from the contest in Detroit.

The National League squad downed the American League prospects in a 6-1 effort and both Jeral Perez and Thayron Liranzo saw a level of contribution.

Jeral Perez, the Dodgers' No. 17 prospect, entered the game in the top of the fifth inning. He went 1-for-2 at the dish with a run scored after an adventurous path around the bases. He singled in the seventh inning on a liner to left field and advanced to second base on an error.

Perez then scampered to third base on a wild pitch, scoring soon after on an RBI groundout from Deyvison De Los Santos.

Perez manned second base for three innings, too.

This season, Perez, 19, is batting .277 with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga with 15 doubles, nine home runs and 37 runs batted in. He also has logged 45 runs and 43 walks through 67 games.

Liranzo, a switch-hitting catcher, is Los Angeles' No. 8 prospect. On Saturday, he also entered the ball game in the top of the fifth inning.

He caught the final few innings and logged two plate appearances. Liranzo walked in the fifth and popped out in the seventh.

Liranzo is hitting at a .221 clip with High-A Great Lakes this summer with seven home runs, 14 doubles and 27 runs batted in. Through 68 games in 2024, Liranzo also has produced 47 walks and 35 runs scored.

In 2023, the Dodgers sent just one player to the Futures Game. Dalton Rushing represented Los Angeles and is currently the club's No. 1 prospect.

In 63 games with Double-A Tulsa this season, Rushing is hitting .266 with 10 home runs, 12 doubles and 46 RBI.
