The Los Angeles Dodgers offense looks to keep rolling on Tuesday after throttling the Coloraod Rockies on Monday night, 13-4.

Los Angeles will send out Julio Urias against Rockies' ace German Marquez as the two NL West rivals get set for Tuesday night action. The Dodgers are heavy favorites in this one, but is there value in betting on the total of the game?

Here's the odds and my best bet on the over/under for this Tuesday night matchup:

Rockies vs. Dodgers prediction and pick

Marquez is a predominantly ground ball pitcher, which is a necessity to being a formidable piece in the Rockies rotation given the hitter friendly conditions of Colorado.

However, it's what he does on the road that is more impressive, as he has a 3.75 ERA on the road over the balance of his career. Further, he has been impressive against the Dodgers, posting a 3.58 ERA across 16 starts and 93 innings pitched.

That's saying something given the Dodgers have been a World Series contending team for the better part of a decade, but the team has an emerging star in Urias on the mound to counter. Urias looked like a Cy Young contender in his first start against the Diamondbacks, pitching six innings of four hit ball while only allowing two earned runs.

The Rockies lineup did thrive against lefties last season, hitting .273, which was the best in baseball, but they struggled against Urias, who allowed only 11 earned runs in 25 1/3 innings of work and posted a 4:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 2022 vs. Colorado.

The total is already low as each team is sending out arguably its best pitcher, but I like the under in this matchup. LA crushed three home runs and plated 13 runs in the win Monday night, but with Marquez's ground ball tendencies, he is going to keep the ball in play for the defense and limit the damage. On the other side, count on Urias to keep it rolling and build his Cy Young candidacy with a shut down outing on Tuesday night.
