Each year, the Dodgers report to Surprise, Arizona for spring training. For the 2023 season, Opening Day will take place on Friday, Feb. 24 when the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers kick off the Cactus League Spring Training schedule.
Pitchers and catchers will be the first to arrive. This year, with the World Baseball Classic taking place, there's a different schedule for those participating, too, so there are a number of dates fans need to be aware of.

Dodgers pitchers and catchers will report on Thursday, Feb. 16. For any pitchers and catchers participating in the WBC (both Clayton Kershaw and Julio Urías will pitch in this year's event), they must report on Monday Feb. 13.
When is the 2023 World Baseball Classic?
The 2023 World Baseball Classic will take place from Wednesday March 8 until Tuesday March 21, with 20 teams involved. This is the first tournament since 2017 after the COVID-19 pandemic derailed the 2021 event. The United States won the last WBC. Japan has the most titles with two (2006, 2009).
This year's WBC will take place in Japan, Taiwan and the US, with the Tokyo Dome, Chase Field, LoanDepot Park, and Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium as the venues.
When do Dodgers position players report to spring training?
Dodgers position players are required to report to Surprise, Arizona for spring training on Monday, Feb. 20. If anyone is participating in the WBC, that date gets bumped up to Thursday, Feb. 16.
When is the Dodgers' first spring training game?
The Dodgers will begin their spring training schedule on Saturday, Feb. 25 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Their final game will take place at Angel Stadium (against the Angels) on Tuesday, March 28.
