Talk about a rough few weeks.

It has been a difficult couple of weeks for Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler. He got rocked by the San Diego Padres in Game 3 of the National League Division Series, but it was later revealed that he also caught a rather tough break off the field just 10 days earlier.

Police said Tuesday that Buehler had a luxury watch stolen off his wrist while at the Santa Anita Park horse racing track for the inaugural California Crown races Sept. 28. Buehler was attending the races with his wife, McKenzie, and Dodgers teammate Jack Flaherty, and was walking from the paddock back to his seat when he was "unknowingly" robbed. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.

According to ESPN News Services, Buehler's was one of three mugging episodes being investigated from that day. One arrest was made in connection with the events, and police said the values of the watches stolen were $100,000 for one and $250,000 for another. It is unknown which one was Buehler's.

Dodgers' Walker Buehler remains 'focused on playoffs' after falling victim to snatch and grab robbery

The robbery occurred just days after Buehler's final regular-season game and a week before the Dodgers began the NLDS against the Padres Saturday.

"The incident was reported to police and is currently under investigation," Excel Sports Management, which represents Buehler, said in a statement. "We are grateful Walker and McKenzie were not harmed and Walker is focused on the playoffs."

Buehler started Game 3 Wednesday – his second start of the series – and gave up six runs across five innings as the Dodgers fell, 6-5, in San Diego. After a disastrous six-run second inning, TV cameras caught him letting out his frustration on a poor, unsuspecting trash can in the Dodgers' dugout.

Buehler's second-inning collapse was followed by a Teoscar Hernández grand slam half an inning later, but it would not be enough to erase the Dodgers' six-run deficit. The NL West rivals will now face off in a deciding Game 5 Friday at Dodger Stadium, where the winner will advance to face the New York Mets in the NLCS.
