The Dodgers have technically already opened their season in Tokyo against the Cubs, but fans will get the full Opening Day experience on Thursday, March 27 when the team returns to Dodger Stadium for a six-game homestand against the Tigers and then the Braves.
Blake Snell is slated as LA's first starter, making his official debut in Dodger blue, and he'll be followed by Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki to give the Tigers a massive challenge right out the gate.
Mookie Betts is expected to return to the lineup after a scary mystery illness and some massive weight loss, so the Dodgers' lineup should look exactly as advertised, with Shohei Ohtani, Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Teoscar Hernández at the very top.
For fans who aren't able to be in the stands on Thursday, there's the potentially tricky issue of figuring out how to watch (or listen) to the series. Although the last two games against the Tigers will be available on SportsNet LA, as always, the opener will be nationally televised on ESPN at 4:10 PM PST. Here's how to tune in.

How to watch Dodgers Opening Day game against Tigers
ESPN might be included in your cable package, but without cable, you can tune in using a number of streaming services. Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream, YouTube TV, and fuboTV all include ESPN. fuboTV plans start at $84.99/month with a seven-day free trial. For radio options, you can turn to AM 570 LA Sports with Charley Steiner, Rick Monday, and Tim Neverett on the call.
SportsNetLA will have the rest of the games in the series, and they've just simplified things for fans. They partnered with MLB to offer SNLA+, which will give local fans the opportunity to stream games through MLB.com and the MLB app. SNLA+ subscriptions are available without cable (but only for local fans) for $29.99/month or $199.99/year.
Even though the Dodgers' regular coverage on SportsNet LA will be interrupted multiple times throughout the season with national coverage, things should be kept relatively simple with SportsNet LA as the go-to.
The Home Opener is right around the corner (it's almost time for Dodger baseball), and the Dodgers are already off to a fantastic start with their sweep of the Cubs in Tokyo.
