After defeating the San Diego Padres in five games in the National League Division Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers are officially NL Championship Series bound. Starting Sunday, they will face off against the New York Mets in a best-of seven matchup with a trip to the World Series on the line.

The Dodgers last appeared in the NLCS in 2021, while the Mets will be making their first appearance since 2015. New York defeated the Dodgers that year in the NLDS before taking down the Chicago Cubs to advance to the Fall Classic.

The Mets, who knocked out the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card round and the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLCS, are headed to Los Angeles to begin the series against the Dodgers, who clinched a first-round bye before knocking out their NL Central rivals from San Diego.

The Mets will enter Game 1 on three days' rest, while the Dodgers have just one full day between the NLDS and the NLCS. Kodai Senga will take the mound for New York in Game 1 Sunday in Los Angeles, where he will go head-to-head with fellow right-hander Jack Flaherty, who is expected to get the starting nod for the Dodgers.
