One current Dodgers top prospect who will be a future Silver Slugger winner for LA

Last year, the Los Angeles Dodgers were well represented in the Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger nominees. This year, there have been some injuries and poor performances that may limit how many of Los Angeles's stars are nominated this year, but they won't be shut out of the conversation.

While the Dodgers have plenty of hitters on the big league roster who are going to be threats to win this award year in and year out, it's worth taking a moment at the farm to predict who's next in line to join the party in the future.

With the top-ranked farm system by MLB Pipeline, there's no shortage of young sluggers who have a chance at becoming fearsome presences at the dish at the big league level. There's No. 1 prospect Josue De Paula, who could be a future superstar. There's James Tibbs III, who put together a tremendous display of power in Oklahoma City, and almost convinced the organization to call him up down the stretch. The list goes on and on.

But one name stands above the rest as the most likely to get this highly sought-after recognition. That player would be outfielder Mike Sirota, who announced loudly this season just how high his ceiling is.

The Dodgers stole Sirota from the Cincinnati Reds for Gavin Lux and immediately saw him begin to show out once he landed in Los Angeles's system. In 2025, he split time between then-Dodger's Single-A affiliate Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes, hitting a scorching .333/.452/.616 with 13 homers over 59 games.

This year, Sirota began the year in High-A, but spent most of his season at Tulsa, slashing .304/.458/.526 with 17 dingers over a combined 105 games. He's walked an eye-popping 19.7% of the time and has smacked 27 doubles and 3 triples in addition to his homer total.

That's all pretty head-turning stuff, but LA's No.2 prospect really turned heads with his astonishing on-base streak that got snapped at a whopping 72 games.

While De Paula might be the better overall prospect, and Tibbs III might have more power, no one in the Dodgers system is as pure a hitter as Sirota is. The 23-year-old has an incredible eye at the plate and strike zone recognition beyond what most players (big leaguers included) possess. Walks don't slump, and that will keep Sirota afloat even when things are otherwise challenging at the plate.

For this reason, he's the Dodgers youngster most likely to win a Silver Slugger during his big league career. In a sea of good options, he's still head and shoulders above the rest thanks to his unmatched offensive profile.
